Growing Old Has It's Blessings

I wish I had discovered the beauty of the arts earlier in my life, now they are the joy of my life. I have moaned about social media but through the miracle of YouTube I can indulge as much as I like in Puccini, Les Mis, Phantom, Collabro (cancelled this year but son has got me tickets to see them next year).
I can be transported back to Mario Lanza singing I Will Walk with God, even gorgeous Antonio Banderas (who knew!) singing Music of the Night with Sarah Brightman, Andrea Bocelli too, Time to say Goodbye.
I am content to spend my days in such talented company and would love to know if any of you share my love of the classics and this type of music. I hope so.
I am only bumping this up because it went into moderation and now has reappeared on page 2 where it might not be seen.
Youtube is awesome, I watch many things on my android tablet as I exercise on my exercise bike. Classical music like Elgar etc, DIY instructionals, videos about cycling and gaming. Lots of free movies on youtube too.
Lynibis You Tube is a useful tool , lots of great content . The trouble is mindless morons of the "entitled generation " only use it to watch what they are told is currently "cool" !
Don't suppose they even know they can use it to find out how to bleed a radiator or fix a dripping tap ?
Lynibis 90% of my music collection is classical/opera much to the amusement of my family especially the OH who is 100% Rock. If you want some great singing and a little comedy check out The Opera Dudes from Nottingham they bill themselves as a cross between ElDivo and Morecambe & Wise. Enjoy
You mean they play all the right notes ................ but not necessarily in the right order ?
I will definitely look them up, sounds like a good laugh. I spent time last night listening to Keith Green, I have been a fan of his music for about 30plus years. He died very young with one of his 3 children in a plane crash and wrote Christian/modern hymns with beautiful melodies, especially Song for Josiah. An amazing talent who left an amazing legacy.
