Hand Soap or Hand Wash?
Ask a Question
hello as you may know im making my christmas hampers for gifting and am looking to include a hand wash or soap. Which would you prefer- any recommendations of your favourites? TIA
Soap - less plastic waste. They look nicer for hampers too. I like green tea or lavendar ones.
I’d personally rather receive a bar of soap. I love the smell of carbolic soap! But others which would be nice to gift would be some from the body shop, lush, fresh or aveda. Lush make a ‘mechanics‘ pumice type of soap (in the shape of a spanner!) which is great
Sound super handy not seen them before. question it doesnt have any glitter bits does it? i think its that which makes me itch with lush products thank you xx
OneeyedRaven it does have fluorphlogopite in the mechanic soap (Lush use synthetic mica to make things glittery rather than using actual glitter / mica)
Bar of nice soap is my preference. A particularly good one is Sanctuary Salt Scrub it’s a bit pricey but a lovely treat.
I do like the salt scrubs they do never tried the salt soap will check them out later today thank you xx
hand soap is definitely more presentable. You can make them yourself too, which is fun, and much more personal

hspexy cant believe it ive made almost this exact recipe without knowing on bonfire night! its curing as we speak ive left some unscented and without the coffee for my niece and added some extra oils for dry skin- proving their is no such thing as an original thought thanks for sharing xx
OneeyedRaven lol that’s cool - as they saying goes, great minds think alike I bet you had fun making the soaps - its always great to know exactly what youre using, no funny chemicals, etc.
A bar of soap looks nicer, but who actually uses it? I don't at home and I find it annoying when hotels provide it over liquid soap. But a unique bar would make a good soap to someone who uses it.
