Happy Fathers Day
Other
To all you Dad's, Granddads, Step Dad's & Dad's to Be, I just wanted to wish you a Happy Fathers Day!
I am of an age that Dad's didn't routinely play a big role in helping to raise children, but I am pleased to say that times have changed for the better and my husband has always been great with our son.
So although my husband says he isn't upset with the lack of a card or gift, I am, although I suppose there is still.time for Amazon to deliver
My other half Isn’t the biological father of my grown up kids but he has been there for the last 13 years and as far as they are concerned he is their dad And always give him Father’s Day although today my son came out to see him ( hungover ) and forgot to bring his card and his gift hadn’t arrived but it’s the thought that counts I suppose my daughter is more organized and never misses a Father’s Day and arrived with cards from her and the kids and a bag of gifts. He is happy just to see them, he always says he doesn’t need anything and not to spend their money on him. His own kids don’t even send a card which infuriates me but it doesn‘t seem to bother him or he is just good at hiding it
I think men don't seem to mind, I know my mother's day and card were late and he was living with us at the time
Sad for me this one as Father dead and recently widowed so key men missing but bless the rest of you.
Sorry for your loss, I know it's hard on these special days, when your thoughts are with those who are no longer here. I firmly believe that if they are in your ❤ and thoughts that they are still here in spirit. Try to think the joy they brought into your life, but still acknowledging the loss.
Please take care
It’s a hard day for you. So sorry for your loss. It’s not easy, I went to the grave yard today with flowers for my dad and grandad
heatherduthie Yes its a Holy and a wholesome thing to pray for the dead as much as respect the living
Oh this is so sweet of you, Thank you. I hope the day wasnt too difficult sometimes it is good just to give ourselves permission to reflect on and remember those who are no longer with us @MelissaLee1963
