Heatwave Swimming Warning after Six Drownings

Sadly, six people died this weekend from drowning. Bodies were recovered in Manchester, Oxfordshire, Yorkshire, Derbyshire have been warned about the dangers of open water.
With it being this hot, I can understand the attraction of cooling down, but as I am not a strong swimmer, I would only dip my feet in the water.
Do you down in open water ?
It's sad how often this happens. People still don't seem to understand how dangerous the water can be, even though there are stories of drownings nearly every time we have a heatwave.
My husband was just saying the same thing, you hear of the odd one of two but 6 in one day!
I think people over estimate how good a swimmer they are. So, sad 
Oh dear, I'm sure that there will be than 6 overall 
Us youngsters used to go to the 'confluence' as it was called. Looking back, it was very dangerous, but you know how much bravado kids have.
