Hedgehog Crisps

Ask a Question

The other night my Kids where tucking into packets of crisps and I told them I remembered hedgehog flavoured crisps from my childhood. They rolled their eyes at me and thought that I was winding them up! I mentioned it to a few of my workmates and most of them had never heard of them either. I guess it's me showing my age.

Of course they were real though. Something that started as a joke but ended up being an actual thing. I recall they tasted a bit beefy. Anyone else remember them?

Yes there was only one shop in my town that sold them. Like you said a craze as people tried to find and try them.Their brief popularity was down to novelty value rather than great taste.

The only place that sold them in our town was the vegetarian hippy shop. Found it strange that they'd sell anything relating to animals, even though they were meat free.
