Help - Why is my deal expired?

Ask a Question

Hello,

If your post has been made expired when it's not, then it is a mistake for which we apologise.

How to un-expire your post:

  • Open your post
  • Press the three dots '...' on the top right
  • Press 'edit'
  • Scroll down
  • Where it says, 'Has the deal expired?' change from Yes to No.
  • Press Save

Why did this happen?

Latest Deals is a community forum which relies on other members flagging posts as expired.

When a post is reported, it is then checked by a volunteer mentor. Sometimes mistakes are made for which we apologise.

There are also automated systems which predict the likelihood of a deal being expired. Sometimes these get it wrong.

Why do people wrongly report my deal as expired?

We don't know why people wrongly report deals, but we do have systems in place to check some of these reports.

Also, if someone is found to consistently report and is incorrect, they have their ability to report revoked.

I only just posted a deal 10 mins ago and it keeps going expired when I undo it so I think someone keeps putting it as expired when it’s not

robinsonburrows Thank you for your message, I am sorry to learn you are having a difficult experience. Latest Deals can't advise on your refund rights, but it may be worth reading this article. You may be best off cancelling the entire order and returning the item if you already have it for a full refund.

Says I have to wait 48 hours to cancel subscription,I will waiti email the company asking for my money to be refunded to my account that was used to pay for the handbag, hopefully they refund me I thought I was getting a handbag for £1.95 for postage then cancel subscription but I ended up paying them £13.90 ,hope I get it refunded thank you for your help

How did you pay? It says in the website can cancel anytime so I'd cancel straight away if it was me. Screen shot the designer bag it's still on at 1.95 and t+c's in case you need them at a later stage.

I payed by my debit card I went on to there website it says you have to wait 48 hours to cancel.i don’t understand why they took £13.90 of me when if you don’t cancel it would be £19.95 a month, the company had it removed from latestdeals,I still want on to see much they should have took its £1.95 postage and £1.95 for 10 trial so it should have been £3.90 and not£13.90,they where rude with me asking why did I want a refund for and I had already told them twice .i will just keep emailing them until I get my money back, I wasnt expecting to pay £13.90 for a handbag,I could buy one in Primark for that price I expected to get it at the offer of £1.95 when i received it and cancelled the subscription.

That's not good, think your best bet is to return it or try refusing delivery - I wouldn't trust them now. The whole website contradicts itself I was thinking about ordering myself but I don't like signing up for subscriptions had trouble in the past. 😞 could try a chargeback with your bank account possibly.

Try raising it with your bank on the basis they took more than advertised :

They have charged me £11.95 for the handbag alone I have the email they sent me and £1.95 postage,it’s not my fault,I just bought cause latestdeals had advertised it on there website, saying you only needed to pay £1.95 postage then when you got the handbag cancel the subscription, after the email came threw much they had taken of me,I went on to latestdeals to explain to the person that had the post up about this website, the persons post had been removed then latestdeals contacted me telling me the company made them take the post down and never put there name on latestdeals website ever again ,I’m the one left £13.90 less on my debit card,I think I should be entitled to get all my money back cause it’s not my fault,

Hi robinsonburrows. I recommend you read the T & C's of Latest Deals, especially in section number 3. All Deals / Freebies / Competitions, are posted by users.

Everyone using the Website should exercise no lesser degree of caution in entering into transactions with retailers than they would when entering into a similar transaction elsewhere.

We aim to provide accurate information (whether it be a deal, competition, freebie, voucher or something else) but often our content is user generated, crowd-sourced and/or sometimes based on speculation or limited details. Why are you sending me this for I didn’t say it was latestdeals fault,it’s that companys fault they had changed the handbag details, that’s why they charged me for the total price for the handbag before anyone from latestdeals could get back to me,it’s been deducted from my debit car,I shall get onto my bank again and explain everything that the company did to me and the claims department should hopefully get my money back,

You have removed one of my posts saying it had been pipped through, and it comes on first served basis, the item you removed was posted before the post you removed me for.. why is this?

If this in regards to the bamboo table, yours was posted at 14:12:

And the other one yours was reported to be a duplicate of was posted earlier at 13:58:

Please note - our system is built so that it is actually impossible to report something as a duplicate if it was the first one to be posted.

Thanks,

Im not sure why it was reported as expired when the store still sell them. I have a store near me and they’ve got loads.

Hi StephanieAngl 🙂 Posts can be reported as expired for all sorts of reasons - it could be they checked their own store and couldn't find it, didn't read the post properly to see that it was in-store only, they might have reported it as expired by mistake or any number of other reasons. You've done the right thing in editing your post to be live again 👍

Someone keeps marking my posts as expired. This is happening a few times a day. I added a deal last night and it’s already been marked expired at least 3 times yet it’s still available. How can I stop this please? I keep having to put as available again but doesn’t seem fair to keep having it marked expired when it’s available cos others will miss out on the deal thinking it’s not available anymore. Is there something I can do to stop this?

StephanieAngl I looked earlier, because of your comment here and because it was such a good deal, but I couldn't see the voucher either. I've just looked again, in the hope that the voucher may come up but no such luck. I think the offer you managed to get had a personal time limit, for you, to be redeemed and not how long the offer was on for. 😔 This is what came up for me.

Oh right. Thanks for showing me that. I’ll mark it as expired then. Strange how it shows for me and not yourself tho. but still. I think a few people got the deal so at least that’s something

I posted this deal yesterday but someone has expired it even though it's still available https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bose-SoundLink-Bluetooth-Speaker-Ii-Special/dp/B07YBN9XXG/ref=gp_aw_ybh_a_1?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=ECY8KDEEAHAGVD8RPTTJ

I uploaded the deal with this direct link but im not sure why it sends you to the main Amazon page instead of where the deal is. This has happened to me on a few post these past few days. Could someone explain why this is happening. Thanks
