First, take a long look at the picture. By long, I mean stare passively at the center of the image for 30 or 40 seconds, letting your eyes and mind do a little unconscious work. Just focus on the center and then don’t work too hard.
It's not a deer but there is an animal in there.
My own personal method for these stereograms is to stare at the centre and then let my eyes relax as though day dreaming, and very, very slightly allow my eyes to cross so the image loses a small amount of focus
saintsmoney I'm not sure that I can see an animal, this might sort of resemble a rabbit
or this might be a cat
Philkinellman the idea is to soften your focus until a 3D image begins to emerge. It will literally pop out in 3D. The image shows two animals interacting and takes up a large part of the whole stereogram
Hi saintsmoney is a male deer. Or it could be a hare. Really not sure. Just thought I would have a go. Thank you for sharing.
Hi nicola, are you familiar with this type of illusion? The whole image will become 3D if you can soften your focus by just the right amount. It will start to look as though you're looking through a small window when you're getting close to correct focus
Correct
The left and right hand sides of the image contain large Angel type fish. But behind in the centre is something else, can you see that too?
saintsmoney Saw angel fish and looks like shark top middle and something else on right. Thanks for sharing. I enjoyed that.
Jamala Yes you got it spot on. I think on the right could be a ship wreck because it's pointed like the bow of a Galleon. But the fish being pursued by the shark is clear as day
GlitchHunter you got it! I thought the object on the right might be a shipwreck or possibly just a seabed feature like rocks, coral etc.. The shark and angel fish are much more distinctive
Nice job
Edit: Actually it becomes clearer when you focus on the area between the right of the object and the right edge of the stereogram. It is in fact two more fish one in front of the other
no dogs or trumpets unfortunately
Can you make out a shark in the top centre of the picture? It will emerge as a 3D image if you can soften your focus by just the right amount
The true sign of intelligence is not knowledge but imagination. Albert Einstein
I see the 3D image now
I remember when I solved my first stereogram - or magic eye as they're often called - it was truly a moment of amazement. Well done for persevering!
I will post another one tonight if you fancy trying it
saintsmoney I love these - I love the fact that once you've managed to 'see' it you can't un-see it. By that I mean you can look away but return and pick it up quite easily the next time. Look forward to the next.
