HMO Housing

Do any of you out there in the UK, live next door to a house of multiple occupancies, HMO's?
I don't, but was thinking of making a house into a House of Multiple occupation. What is your issue? Do you have a problem you need resolving? Ultimately, all responsibility is the owner of the property, so if you have an issue with others in the HMO go to the owner or agency looking after it.
I'm wondering if you have a problem? If you do go to the agent that deals with it, there will be someone. Or find who the owner is. If you feel it's a police matter, then call the cops or see them at the station. Don't put up with trouble or law breaking.
Thank you CaroleBallard and DannySpeed for replying. I live between two houses which were both sold and then converted into HMO's around three years ago. My issue is that I am constantly hearing and often being woken up by the fire doors being slammed by the comings and goings of the numerous tenants. I've contacted the council and house owners but it is still going on!!
Talk to a solicitor and ask about noise abatement.
They may be able to change the doors to slow closing fire doors or cushion them, or even put some kind of soundproofing. They can put up notices for residents to be quiet but generally, other than that I can't advise. Take a recording, note every time it happens, and use that as evidence
DannySpeed When I've asked for the fire doors to be adjusted in both HMO's this does help temporarily. After a while the brackets need re-adjusting again though. I am going to contact the landlords and ask them if they could put notices up as you suggested along with cushioning around the doors. I have recordings but they aren't as clear as they NEED to be really, I don't think...
