Hobbies Which You Have Taken up That You'd Never Thought You'd Be Interested In

Other

Hello everyone,

Recently I have gotten myself into computer programming and am so far really enjoying it. Whereas when I was at college a few years back and had to do it as part of an assignment, I thoroughly detested it. Looking back on it I believe that's due to the style of teaching and I have always found myself to learn better when I self teach as I can do exactly what I want and at my own pace. I never thought I'd enjoy it.

Has anyone else ever taken up any new hobbies which they have always detested before and could never imagine themselves enjoying?

Exercise! Took me a lil while to really get into it but I love it now, I still detest going to the gym but have found what works for me at home.

There are loads of different kinds of exercises you can do at home which don't at all require a gym. I am not a gym person either.

I am currently learning to code JavaScript on a website called Khan Academy. It's a brilliant starting point for both kids and adults and is also free.

I think mine would have to be reading about theology/myths/religion. I didn't think that 20 years ago, but 20 years ago I really had no idea how things were going to turn out.
