Any nice places you have been to ?
How far are you looking and what type of holiday? For a city break I'd recommend Berlin, Prague and Barcelona! Not overly expensive and nice cities with plenty to do and see!
Right now I'd say anywhere without coronovirus
My favourite trip I've ever been on was Kyiv - me and my husband went specifically to see chernobyl but we absolutely fell in love with the city whilst over there which we didn't except! Would love to go to Ukraine again some day I absolutely recommend.
I love the Greek islands and fancy myself very much to be the Meryl Streep character in Mama Mia!
Budget few days away Hanover in Germany is beautiful, markets, sightseeing and views. More luxury would be Penang island just off Malaysia it’s expensive to get to but cheap as cheap when there.
If you fancy Penang, you can fly to the island from the UK with Qatar Airways, changing planes in Doha. It's one of the cheapest and fastest ways of getting there.
Penang Island may be bigger than you think. About 700.000 people live there, of which roughly 60% are Chinese, 30% are Malay, and 7% are Indian.
Johnny Actually, maybe give Penang Island a miss for a while. I'm on Penang Island today (Thursday 12th March) and the headline in this morning's Star newspaper is 'Penangites in panic mode due to first confirmed Covid-19 case on the island'
An engineer who works at a Motorola factory in Bayan Lapas (near the airport) has contracted the virus. Motorola have closed their facility. They say: “All our staff in Penang will work from home for the next two weeks and all necessary actions are being taken for them to return after that time. Additionally, all of our facilities are being sanitised".
Panic buying of loo paper has started...
When your lloking for a holiday look on expedia and go ingocnito youll find some cheap deal depending on where your going and how long for.
I think with the virus and lockdown any tourist attraction will be good as no one will be there. I was in cheltenham on day one of the races, forgetting it was the races, and I've been to cheltenham on race week many, many times and there was not as many people as usual by a long way. Back on topic, Ireland and the rhine area of Germany come to mind. I enjoyed those places a lot and would go back.
