Holidays as Prizes
Other
Have just read some comments on a holiday competition and wondered how others felt.
There are some fabulous holiday competitions around at the moment, mainly for couples, some family trips and I can remember one solo holiday - photography in Newfoundland which would be amazing.
But what do most singleton's do? It seems a shame not to enter a competition to an exotic 'romantic' location just because it's only you, or you and a friend, you may never get the opportunity to go there again. Trust me if I won one of those huts in the sea in Bora Bora, I'm off, on my own or with my bestie.
And in all honesty, are 'romantic' destinations full of couples gazing lovingly into each others eyes?? ... I doubt it!
I guess it's how you view holidays - to me a hotel is just a base where you sleep and then you go off and discover the area, but if I was paying I would certainly avoid a family hotel!
There is one at the mo for sandals which is, I believe, a specific holiday place for couples romantically involved. I wouldn't enter as even if they let me go I would feel weird mooching around with my best pal or my sister. 2 old ladies is not the image they want I suspect!
