We buy natural honey comb online and have it with boiling water or in tea. Honey with lemon from the supermarket is also good for colds and coughs

Honey was well known in medieval times for it's healing properties and was used on all sorts of wounds to help and prevent infection. Sadly I don't like honey but I do have the odd herbal tea with honey in it.

LordUnbox, The research states that honey may be more effective than antibiotics for treating upper respiratory tract infections.

Writing in the journal BMJ Evidence Based Medicine, the authors said: “Upper respiratory tract infections are the most frequent reason for antibiotic prescription. Since the majority of URTIs are viral, antibiotic prescription is both ineffective and inappropriate.”

The researchers suggest honey might therefore provide an alternative when doctors want to prescribe something to safely treat upper respiratory tract symptoms.
