How does Italic and Bold work on LD?

Help

I know how they worked on Pedlar but the same doesn't apply here. I've also tried the normal [i] or [b] (with its ending part) but no luck either.

Hi Rockman

Switch out CMD for CTRL if your using Windows 🙂

CMD + B: Creates bold text

CMD + U: Creates underlined text

CMD + I: Creates italic text

Pressing it once toggles it on and then again toggles it off. Or you can highlight a chunk of text and press the keyboard commands to format the highlighted text.

Whaaaat I did not know this! Is there anything else I don't know for secret formatting things? Bullet points? Titles?

Have to say, that is rather unusual as it normally just takes the standard [i] and such codes to make it work but that's pretty cool too and easy to remember.

Note: Text

Thanks. 🙂

Tom bullet points you say?

  • I guess you might
  • be able to make a list
  • but you'd have to work out how
  1. you would also need
  2. to decide if it were an
  3. ordered numeric list
  4. or an unordered bullet point list like above

This is my first attempt at doing this on the live site so what are the odds the above fails miserably? 😁

Tom so I was thinking maybe LD could introduce being able to add pics on comments... ie say if I purchased from the deal then I could post my pic in the thread?

Amazon now have this facility in the reviews section where consumers can post their own pics along with the review... something like that. 😊 nemo

nemosays you can do it by posting the URL, as you know, but I agree it may be easier with a button. One for Kelsey!

Tom as in your own pics that you have on your PC or phone gallery.

Tom 👍 ie if I purchased a deal via LD thread then I would want to post a pic of my received bargain item on the deal thread... eg Freebie is a good example . I suppose this means could add to people having more convos and engagement on deal threads which seems to be less right now. Does more comment add value to Google ranking?

Kelsey How does an official numbering list work than only using numbers?

Hi Rockman sorry for the delayed response! I was away on holiday in Iceland. Can thoroughly recommend it although was crazy expensive! A shop was selling a sharing-sized bag of crisps for £8... Loopy!

Anyway, I digress 😄

You can make a numbered list by typing 1. followed by a space/return on a new line. It should automatically convert it into a list for you. Then you can just hit return and 2. will appear and so on 👍
