Ideas for My Bit of Land at Front of House

Please can people give me some ideas of what to do with out the front of my house. I have loads of parking area, this area is just an eye sore we have already chopped loads of over grown trees/plants etc down. Oil tank can be moved and behind oil tank is septic tank. Behind it is a main road and I do like abit of privacy. Can not think of what to do with it.

Would probably depend on what kind of thong you would like. A seating area up under the trees would be lovely but also a shrub/low maintenance garden would be nice
Pave up to the stump by the tank and then lay gravel over the rest. Pop a few shade loving plants in amongst the gravel and that would immediately improve at low cost. I assume you have a garden elsewhere as you said this is front of house? Therefore do not need it as a seating area and would not be pleasant sitting between a septic tank and oil tank!
I am also assuming you cannot build up the brickwork in foreground to allow access to said tanks, but you could scrub down and paint it.
possy well based on a pic and it not being my land I am a bit reticent to give an opinion. Given what you said about privacy I don't think I would chop them down unless diseased but the one over the blue fronted tank (?) could do with a good prune back. I think it's call copicing and would probably need a tree surgeon which could be expensive, although the wood could be left to season for a couple of years and you would have lots of firewood.
It would be a shame to chop down trees as we need them for the sake of the environment.
possy just re-read your reply and not sure if you meant dig out trees. If you meant the ground it would depend on what you would put down instead. If you grass/turf it you may regret the added chore of mowing. If you gravel just make sure you line it well to stop weeds, if paved the paver will deal with all that. So much depends on budget.
possy Personally I wouldn't cut the trees down as they will act as a buffer for traffic noise and attract birds, I would however erect a trellis or similar fence (max height 2m before needing Planning Permission) from garage to oil tank, with gate/door for access and then plant a climbing plant eg honeysuckle which would smell lovely, then put a membrane down with bark mulch or as Lynibis suggested gravel and low plants.
Maybe 'crown' them and a good prune/tidy up but still leave at a good height 20 feet ish, as they all look to be conifers and probably originally planted as a screen from the road.
