Im a Celebrity Back Do You Watch ??
Ask a Question
So I’m a celebrity’s back on our screens from Sunday November 21st , from Gwtych castle , and rumoured to be the oldest contestant ever on there , Arlene Phillips
Will you be watching or do you think it’s been running so long it’s lost it’s appeal
Would you go on ?
I would go on if it was in Australia . Wouldn’t mind coming out first and lounge about in the Versace hotel. Dont like the cold so not the Welsh one
It very much depends on who the "celebrities" are as to whether I watch.
I remember the year they had Boris Johnsons Dad and Jamie Vardy's wife on, I didn't make it past the first 10 minutes.
blacklabrador true I sometimes think they could be sued under trade descriptions abit saying “ celebrity’s “
I would go on if it were in Australia as I think it’s more challenging when it’s done there I will be watching it
I used to watch the whole series every year, but the last few years I've just dipped in and out, watching some episodes. I don't know who a lot of the "celebrities" are some years, so that's a bit off putting.
I do still enjoy it but last year the castle made the whole show really dark and dingy. Visually I prefer the jungle setting but with covid it’s understandable why they are doing it here.
I often have no idea who half the ‘celebrities’ are, I watch for Ant and Dec, I think they are brilliant
I agree with Saver1, I would love to do the Australian one but I had no interest in the castle one. Not sure if it was the location or celebrities that put me off.
I can’t bare to watch that program load of ex stars trying to regenerate their popularity.
Used to watch it loads, now not so much, found it boring last year and contestants are getting less A list and more Z list.
As for doing it myself, no chance I hate creepy crawlys
Seems to me as they are running out of real celebrities and tasks. Just the same every season. Ant and Dec are all that keeps that show going. I abhor this type of reality TV and will never watch it!
I enjoyed the show from Wales last year, wrong time of year thou really to be doing it in this country, could have made so much more use of the rugged rural surrounding area to carry out trials etc if it hadn't been the middle of winter. Personally I enjoy the physical/ mental acuity type trial over the bugs/ creatures and eating type trials anyway.
I always thought they did celebrity in november in australia as it was their spring , not too hot and not too cold, although it also rained a lot, so i don't see why they haven't switched the UK version to summer , doing it in the winter seems a bit silly
I enjoyed the aussie version, but i really don't like it here , a bit boring as C said
I always end up watching! I would go on - the only thing that would really bother me is rats
There is a rumour here in the Irish press that Roy Keane May be going in this year! He’d be great viewing!

Ann1984 that’s a decent lineup. I know most of these people, which helps. That’s my evenings gone for three weeks!
Thanks for that Ann1984 - and for explaining who they are, I had actually heard of two or three of them. Good to see they've got a locksmith on stand by. I suppose that's in case they lose the key to the castle,

Thanks to everyone for the comments , i think this will be removed now
Wrong again T- when topics are duplicated (as this one was duplicated by yours) it is the second one that is removed (this is the first posted by Aenurse1 I know you will argue that is very unfair, even perhaps saying you hadn't known about this topic. But if you check above you will find you had posted on it (a week ago) before you posted yours.
I suspect someone is very confused
davidstockport Thanks David, you are being very helpful, i appreciate your feedback , i was referring to my topic about to be removed, as it was, hence the thanks to all members who contributed to it, including yourself , cheers
telmel That's a surprise - you don;t usually. But seeing as you appreciate it so much, I'll try to help any other time you seem confused about the chat guidelines or rules.
I'm not promising I do realise I could need a secretary to cope
davidstockport Thanks again david, you have a good sense of humour, that tickled me
For once I know them all! Is it back in the jungle this year, as opposed to the castle last year? What did people think of the castle?
Enjoyed the castle last year, made a change from the repetitiveness of the jungle. Shame they are filming in Wales again in the winter thou, stops them making full use of the surrounding countryside for the trials. Only celeb this year I'm not overly keen on is Richard Madeley , he has been so annoying on GMTV in recent months aspiring to be the new Piers Morgan.
You would have to pay me to watch it and you would never get me on it.
It rather reminds me of a modern version of gladiatorial games where people got pleasure from watching the pain and killing of others. The little I know of Squid Games, it is even worse.
gerrykelly25 I thought it was funny just gutted he didn't get the egg. David Ginola is pure legend, I'm a Newcastle fan so mega bias.
SilverSurfer it’s a bit early to call yet, but I think David Ginola will make a good leader. I like Danny too. Two Soap stars are due to go in soon though and will no doubt be popular. You?
gerrykelly25 I think Ginola has a very good chance even though I'm bias towards him apart from him its hard to call. I know who I don't want to win is Richard Madeley.
Wooo i love im a celeb, havent watched yet going to catchup soon, dont really recognise many tho
I was going to watch then totally forgot, from the clips I have seen not thinking it is worth watching. Two celebrities already want to go home.
The Welsh castle isn't the best but I suppose it depends on what kind of characters are in and they are a bit boring most of them...
I watched last year's after many years of not bothering and I enjoyed the castle setting and the contestants that were in there. This year, I'm questioning why a 78 year would be that desperate to go into a setting that could endanger her health. It was interesting to note that Danny didn't give the DJ the same amount of encouragement that she showed him in the food trial. I believe the 'Minch' will get to the end. Anyone who has watched Louise Minchin in other back-in-time shows will remember she was a real tough cookie.
