I'm Not Really into Sports but is Anyone Else Gobsmacked by the Athletes?

I am truly speechless at the way the yachting folk can plan and implement strategies at the same time as using their incredible strength and suppleness and balance to manouevre the vessel ..... then there's Sky Brown, the 13 year old skateboarder who wasn't fazed by her appalling 15 foot fall and injuries, and fought back to make the Olympic team, and the gymnastics etc etc. I can't get to grips with how these sports people get through the practising falls and crashes in order to make the top levels ....I wimp out at the top of a ladder and am scared to try beginner paddle boarding in case I get wetter than planned!!!!!

Then got into the clarinet but told smoking isn’t good for my tune stupidly enough I chose the worst one possible
SarahHorsfield Because of my useless sense of direction and etc .... I wasn't much good at sports ...I had a bash at clarinet too and did enjoy it....but sold it to help pay for roof repairs ....another story .... I can do some things well but steer clear of balancing and balls!
I know what you mean, I was watching the gymnastics and thought how many times must they have fallen off the beam. The gold was won by a 16year old Chinese athlete. Her routine was flawless.

I’m not really into sports but I’ve always wanted to skateboard so at the grand age of 40 I’m going to start! Sky Brown and all the other female skaters are really inspiring and I’ve seen more girls on skateboards where I am on holiday so it’s really encouraging.
