Improving Your Deals: 1. Pictures & Descriptions
Other
Sadly this deal has expired now but you can clearly see the improvement by using a decent picture and trying to describe the deal better.
It just goes to show that even the best deal will gain little attention if it's poorly executed.
I agree with you 100%. I've only had one nightmare and that was recently - no matter many urls I copied for this deal, by the time it got posted the picture was blurred. It was a shame as the item was really pretty but let down by the pic. The strange thing was they were really clear at the bottom of the page before posting. (I even edited it 3 times trying to improve it)
Presentation is everything
I found the culprit:
Have you ever tried searching online for the item and selecting images? There's often a better picture available. If you right click and choose open in a new window it provides a clean image. I'm sure you already know all this as your deals are 99.9% great looking!
The points system here at LatestDeals is an excellent idea and brings an exciting element to deal posting. Like anything, it can be exploited but aslong as the majority of deal posters continue putting in the effort it will be well worth it for the site's bright future.
saintsmoney Yes I tried approaching it from many different routes - it's pretty bad isn't it? I will try again, opening in a new window. Thank you.
saintsmoney Thank you I rushed off to have another go before reading fully - two more fails and then uploaded after a google image search and then posted. So much better. Grateful for your post because it made me have another go.
I missed that deal and it was just what I wanted - if anyone did get two for the price of one and they've now got one too many will they get in touch?
OOPS - cancel that! Just remembered I'm 6ft 3" and there wasn't enough legroom in the last one I had.
I missed out on the Ferrari deal by just 20 minutes..
Jeremy Clarkson is 6' 5" and he squeezed into an Enzo!
