iPhones/ IOS or Androids
Ask a Question
Which phone do you have or prefer to use out of the two.. androids or iPhones/IOS
I got an iPhone a couple of years ago just to see what all the hype was/is all about. And to be honest, I feel that they are way too overrated. I have found it to be no better or no worse than many cheap low end Android phones you can get from Wish.
But my vote goes to Android because I like the freedom of it and it's more customisable.
What about yourself?
RegularComper90 Yes agree! I have used both and Androids are soo much more user friendly (for me) and I feel like you can do more with them. Although my IPhone did seem to last longer than my Android but I’d still go with Androids!
MsLamboLova12 If you want to transfer music from your PC to your iPhone, you have to have iTunes, whereas with Android you can just simply drag and drop. The only type of apple I am interested in are the edible ones.
Android. iPhones are just cleverly marketed. I've used both and although I genuinely prefer Mac OSX to Microsoft Windows with full size computing, I find iOS too restrictive. Apple want to control its users too much and encourage them to only own Apple products. The only argument I ever hear from iPhone owners time and time again is "I'm used to it". That's not a reason to spend way over a grand on a phone.
Dennab I totally agree with you! The control and lack of freedom makes it difficult for me to use.. as well as the price for purchasing. It would be interesting to see if any IPhone users can provide more insights as to why they prefer IOS!
I keep on hearing time and time again that iPhones are more user friendly and easier to use than Android. But I have found that to be the other way round. For example, if you want to transfer music from your PC to your iPhone then you have to use iTunes whereas Android is just a simple case of drag and drop. I also like to be able to take the battery out and then re-inserting it should I need to reset it.
RegularComper90 The newer Android phones have adapted the built in battery and no headphone port thing, annoyingly. However, your reasoning is why I have always opted for Android. I have used my phone for all sorts of complicated stuff over the years & appreciate some of it would not matter to the average smartphone owner. When something as simple as transferring music is controlled though, that puts me off instantly.
I have an iPhone, switched to iPhones around 3/4 years ago and personally I prefer them. But for laptop I prefer windows over mac.
Android as I can easily transfer onto a laptop and vice versa without 3rd party software. I can also download APK files and install them myself. A lot of good apps out there not on play store. You don't get that with iPhone
SonsOfPitches Yess I agree! The easy download and transfer makes its soo much more user friendly!
I'm a big fan of Xiaomi which is an Android phone. They are great value for money. Work have me an iphone and I hate it. It's clunky, small screen, battery life is poor.
Definitely android. IPhone is over rated, over priced and Definitely way behind with technology compared to android
I prefer Apple, had since first released but don’t get every one released. My son is Apple and he usually gets my phone when I upgrade.
I do have all Apple tech for myself, whereas the rest of the household has windows based tech (apart from all Apple iPads).
I generally find Apple easy to use, can’t get on with android.
Hubby has Android.
I prefer Apple we all have Apple phones and iPads in my house i find Apple iPads and phones easy to use I can’t get work the Android phones that my dad and sister have
I have android 1 is its pretty good there different trying of android depending on phone brand so work better than other I think u get most of the apps on android but there r 1 or 2 that u can only get on iPhone but maybe there r apps that r only for
Definitely android for me. IOS is much more limited with regard apps and functionality and pricing is often ridiculous. IOS is very poor value too. Gaming is also very limited on IOS compared to android.
IOS is the premium option which in many ways is vastly inferior so I just don't see the point.
