Do You Iron as You Go?? or Do It All at Once?
Ask a Question
I’ve found that my husband messes up ironed clothes when he is looking for a specific item of clothing - so I have implemented an iron as you go policy, as I felt it was a waste of my time doing it all in one go for him to mess up in a few minutes.
Do you iron clothes as you need them??
Leannexxx I quite like ironing. But I hate re ironing because my husband can’t lift clothes out to look for something lol.
He shoves things to the side to look and crinkles everything
PayItForward I only iron stuff I lf I have too I would do my oldest uniform for the week in one go
To be honest I don't Iron very often anymore, usually if i hang stuff up after it comes off the line or out the dryer i can get away without doing it. If i do have stuff to do though I definitely save it up and do it in 1 go. I think maybe if I had the space to have a permanent ironing board set up then I may do it as I went.
jms19 my friend does this too. I use the tumble dryer and find they are quite wrinkly after
jane100 haha. Brilliant. I have a friend that doesn’t iron at all, and I’m honestly jealous of her
Iron as and when I need them or wear them. Can't be doing ironing everything all in one go
I don't iron ! My granny irons everything as its washed, underwear, flannels, towels, the lot
cjevans ...I used to be same years ago when I lived with my late Mum,I even ironed paper money...I don't do that now!!
Rarely Iron at home, usually get my partner to do it when he's ironing,I tend to wear clothes that don't need ironing so he irons my "Going out clothes "
At work I iron my service user's clothes as & when I need to, other service user rarely has her clothes ironed, she tends to wear clothes thar don't need it...
janphoenix51 even better if you can get your partner to do it lol. Well done you, I’m jealous
I cannot remember the last time I used an Iron.Call me wrinkly lol.I wear T shirts under gilets. When it's blouse weather I just let them hang and iron them selves.
iron every wash as it’s done. Don’t use the tumble dryer very much but it does cut down on the ironing.
Can't remember last time I ironed, most of my clothes are crease free after washing and drying. However I do remember the drudgery of ironing 15 shirts per week for 2 sons and husband. I did them all at once so I knew I was ok for Monday to Friday.
I wash the clothes, then depending on season if I iron them. In the summer I tend to iron t-shirt while still damp. In the winter the men’s t-shirts don’t see the iron as they wear them under sweatshirts or jumpers
We don't iron anynore unless really needed, the clotges are washed, good shake and dried on hangers. Bedding folded neatly and put in airing cupboard.
My Mrs loves ironing, she even does her sister's, every Sunday, massive pile she must be mad
