How a ISP IP and VPN IP Works.

Other

If you don't like for your ISP to be aware of what you're doing online, using a reliable/trustworthy VPN is what you should do.

Now, what is it that ISPs see when you're using a VPN?

"Since a VPN encrypts all your traffic, your ISP will only see indecipherable gibberish that is sent back and forth between your computer/mobile device and a VPN server. Your ISP might see that you are connecting to a different online address, but they’ll have no idea what you are doing."

What language did you write your comment in Rockman? I didn't understand a word of it! Too late for this old dog to learn new tricks 😆

I personally don't give a damn what my ISP can see me doing online - I've absolutely nothing to hide - there'd be much less trouble online if some sites didn't permit access to those hiding their location. (they are apparently easily spotted).

I know little about VPNs which have similarities to proxy servers (in hiding location) all I do know is they're too often used by people to create duplicate accounts (where duplicate accounts are not permitted) and in my case someone attempting to hack into my email account. (which is being taken very seriously by my email service provider).

Whilst using a VPN isn't in itself illegal any criminal activity whilst using a VPN is still a crime and despite what some may think is not absolutely undetectable. I have that on good authority from an ex colleague in fraud detection (I left in 1975 before the internet came along) who knows much more about these things than I do.
