Issues with Pc Volume Controls

Has anyone been experiencing issues with their volume controls on their windows devices lately? For some reason, the volume levels keep decreasing on its own, and even if I manually adjust it back up, it still continues to decrease
Not something I have noticed.
Which version of Windows are you using? And has it updated recently?
I’ve just been delving into google and YouTube to try to figure it out, and there’s lots about this issue for windows 10, but I just realised I’m only on windows 7 lol! After adjusting some of the controls, it was still playing up, but it’s not playing up at all today, so it might be the hardware 
blacklabrador thanks. I often hope that these tech issues just fix themselves - otherwise I haven’t a clue how to fix it myself, and I don’t want to have to fork out for things to be fixed 
Yes! It's been driving me nuts! I got rid of Windows 10 when it first came out and reverted to .......wait for it.....Windows 7. It started just before Christmas and sometimes it would be fine and other days low or inaudible. I checked sound cards, installed updated drivers and finally by clicking on the sound icon and then speakers I clicked on and off enabling and it corrects it every time. I realise I will have to get back to Windows 10 now that the initial bugs are sorted but I never find the time.
