Issues with Searching Chat Topics

Hi Kelsey yes I will do that when it happens again. Thanks for looking into it - I was hoping it was one of the things that will stop happening after the next update, but it’s starting to drive me mad so o thought I’d better report it. Thanks again

Hi Kelsey this is the screenshot of when the search bar merges, so it makes it unusable for me - I just have to refresh the page for it to go back to normal again

It’s not a big issue, as I can just refresh, but I’m wondering if it’s a bug in the system?

I have just tried to do a search on all chat topics that have RIP on it - but instead of giving me all the search topics, it’s giving me deals, so its hard to see if there have been similar chat topics in the past

Hi Kelsey - just letting you know the merge is still happening, and the search function still goes awry

I've just tried this on an iPad and I'm really struggling to recreate the issue Is there a series of steps you can perform (starting from when you first load the website) that makes it always happen? Either the search issue or the merge bit happening? Hopefully once I can recreate it I can work out what's happening and get it fixed!

Kelsey no problems. How about the other issue? The one where you try to search through chat topics but it brings up deals instead? So when you use the search bar to ‘search chat’, you enter RIP and select ’see all results’ and all it does is bring up deals and not all the chat topics?

Kelsey I get this message a lot as well - usually as my LD page is left open

hspexy Sorry I'm afraid I can't get either problem to happen! If you load https://www.latestdeals.co.uk/chat in a new tab, type in a search and tap "see all results" does that still show deal results instead?

If not, is there a particular set of steps you can perform to make it always happen? Could you also possibly let me know what version of Safari you're running on iOS? (whatsmybrowser.org may help!). Thanks!

I put RIP and on ‘all results‘ it‘s loading deals with ripped jeans, etc

hspexy Ah ha! That's the key to the problem (this problem at least) I wasn't trying it on the chat creation page. I've now found the bug and squished it so it should work properly. Thanks!

Thanks for the suggestion. No, I’m not on the home page. I’m on chat. I’ve been on LD for a number of years, and this is a more recent issue. I’m hoping it’s just a minor bug or glitch. Probably started happening after the app got launched

Thanks. I’m glad it’s not only me - thought I was going mad, and just tried to ignore it, but it has been bugging me
