Its summer....

... well maybe not quite but after weeks of constantly being either minus or 0 we are 12 degrees today! Obviously getting old talking about the weather but I am excited that I could actually feel my hands today whilst cleaning the garden
Looks good for the next couple of weeks at least too . Moved the first of my seedlings into the greenhouse today .
Golfforall what are you hoping to grow? We grew peppers last year for the 1st time! Im useless at looking after plants etc - they all end up dying! I wasnt in charge of the peppers
PinkElephant26 Peppers, Tomatoes ,cucumbers etc aren't hard to grow you just have to water carefully , probably daily when no rain . If they get too wet they try to grow to fast and get ruined , even with a day or two of no water they start to wither and die .
I do my cherry tomatoes in hanging baskets (the plastic ones with a built in reservoir ) cuts down on watering and keeps them nicely moist all the time . You can get pots/tubs like that too .
We went in garden for a little and was pleased not too be very cold. Not much of a gardener myself but you don't realise how important going outside is till it's hard to go
I did go in the garden after work and it was cool but nice, looking forward to the temperatures going up on the weekend
Am I the only person who likes winter?
Sure, I am looking forward to spring but I see beauty in all 4 seasons.
For now though, it's nice not seeing any topless overweight men showing their beer bellies, no sweating like a pig, no pesky insects flying at you, no screaming kids next door on trampolines and so on.
RegularComper90 spring is my favourite season. I usually don't overly mind winter but it has just been so cold this year I have been dreading walking my dog. I like it when it's warm but not too warm to not wear a light jacket
Nichola1991 I guess this winter has been particularly depressing for some because of the lockdown. I can certainly understand that.
Felt good to be able to go out the house today and not need lots of layers and a hat and gloves on! Looking forward to the better weather to get out more
