It's Now Tuesday Morning 12:36 And I Have Just Looked At Tesco Site For Delivery
Ask a Question
I clicked on Tesco, for the first time ever a page came up that said I was in a queue and to wait as the page would refresh automatically, I have just got on now after waiting about 20 minutes, I clicked on Home Delivery and for the first time for ages shopping slots came up in my area, the first free day is April 20th but it's starting to fill, hope this helps someone, GOOD LUCK! x
ps Remember to check as soon as after midnight that you can each night!
I been doing this every night but tesco only showing until 20th for me I have 2 accounts so trying to get as many slots to help the elderly where my mum in law lives and get food delivered to them
I've been doing it every night too Ann1984 but last night was the first time that any shopping slots actually showed in my area, that's why I posted as it might be the same for others too, I think some Supermarkets are probably coping better than others, like shops. We've got no Toilet Roll round here at all and yet I heard yesterday that people were seen coming out Poundland, on a local Retail Park, with Toilet Roll and Kitchen Roll! x
JoTarpley ah I seen toilet roll on Amazon yesterday I check if still available now didnβt post because last time sold out so quick am ok for toilet roll just need keep freezer full because of kids in stock 11th april
Ann1984 Thanks for the link, I've had to order Tissues, Handwash and Toilet Rolls off ebay after not getting them from Tesco for 2 weeks, I got 36 rolls for Β£19.99 but the rolls aren't very thick at all, they are not going to last long! Good reviews on this though, huge thanks x
Well that's a bit of good news, unless you don't like having Birthdays of course LeanneWard Happy Birthday in advance! x
JoTarpley Thankyou. I didnβt manage to get a slot though lol. I will have to go get a few bits tomorrow x
My Auntie went on Tesco at 12am and she was in the queue till 12.50am when she got in. The first delivery she could get was the 22nd April.
I had similar on the Asda site - overload and the message 'you are in a queue don't refresh your browser'. I took 43 minutes to finally get in and only two slots for my local available. I hope the system improves over the next few weeks - it's extraordinary times.
JoTarpley You have to be signed up to order at Asda and you have to book your slot first. You can see that there are no slots or click and collect for a fortnite. I was still up at 00.43 waiting for the queue to allow me onto the site. I haven't tried Tesco but I would think its the same scheme - they are showing 14 day blocks of bookable dates and nothing new is released until midnight on that 14th day?
Yes that's the same as what Tesco is doing, book then shop angemski. This is what you see when you've signed in, you only see the booking chart briefly after 12pm until any empty day is full and then the chart is taken away and we are left with what the photo shows! What a game eh?! x
Its getting worse,i tried 5 supermarkets today, all the main stores fully booked for 2 weeks, and ALL because idiot panic buying.
Tesco is nearly out of Eggs here too, what a flippin' nightmare these * panic buyers have caused, and what about people stopping in, I live in the country and this main road is not exactly quiet, what on earth are people thinking with more deaths every day, how on earth do you get through to these people?? x
I probably saw you in the queue then last night nina090976 sorry I didn't wave but I was trying to get a slot myself and was also lucky getting the 21st, was so relieved until I realised we'd probably have this hassle trying to get another slot again after this! x
Hi i think it is very UN fair for those elderly people who are can not go to shops as there are people who have booked all slots and therefore they have to wait till 20th April.
I have quite a few medical probs/ disabilities (i am on ESA in support group!) My sons have a neurological condition and youngest also has had lung disease/asthma from birth,so i signed up& registered on gov.org,as were supposed to be 'sheilding' from the virus,so very risky as son not allowed out at all and im also at risk from health complications& i dont want to pass anything to him,so i assumed we'd be added to vulnerable list, but No, we got a very stern sounding txt back from gov.uk,saying as we had not had a letter from NHS to confirm so they'd let them know& we would 'be informed' if they thought we were vulnerable enough.&G.P would be told(as though we had done something wrong.)they said if not on list but need help theyl tell supermarkets who "may be able to help?.( both sons& i are on PIP as well,so exactly how bad do you need to be to get help?
I wouldnt care as much, (about the text i mean-) only it was sainsburys who directed me to register for it,as id emailed them to say i couldnt get through to tell them if i needed a priority slot due to health& disability.I did as i was told then im more or less 'told off' by a government text!! Im blooming well boycotting sainsburys in future! (also sainsburys are telling their workers not to use gloves as "their pores could sweat(if they had the virus)& then it would spread it more"-???can they not tell them to wear the gloves then wash hands immediately they remove them?it seems risky to me.
