Hm, always thought that JL was more popular and profitable than Waitrose. Now it's becoming "Waitrose & Partners".

They’re the same company, with the same values

hspexy Even so, it seems that 'Waitrose' holds more value than John Lewis.

Rockman well, seeing that Waitrose can offer me a free hot drink on a daily basis (with a purchase, of course) versus John lewis’ Free cake and drink once in a blue moon, I certainly see the value in Waitrose 😊 (I won’t be completely unfair - have had 3 portions of cake and tea for free with JL this year, though when they started that offer, it was for every month...certainly makes you wonder where they’re hemorrhaging money! Lol)

hspexy you will need to bring your own cup in the future to get your free drink, which is fair enough, better for the environment and all

ptenn00 Yes I have seen it, although I’ve also seen the use of plastic spoons in stores too...I thought they would at least scrap those if they’re scrapping the cups

Probably they also do not make good money....profit is down. Why re-branding would cost more than 200 jobs? Just not to re-brand than! I think something is nasty about this news...

I also think definitely something untoward is going on

hspexy Re-branding cost a lot, but for that they will not cut jobs. They are very expensive to be honest, some of the clothes have space prices...🤪 not affordable and not even worth it.
