Jump Send?

Ask a Question

Today there was a deal to get disposable coffee cups free if you got a jump send code. The offer quickly disappeared so I couldn't ask what it was and i'm none the wiser after googling it!

Does anyone know what it is and how it works please? 😊

Morning danbyk 🙂

I believe RobertButler found and shared the free coffee cups this morning. I'm tagging him here as we haven't had a chance yet to explain why the post was removed.

We don't currently allow JumpSend and VIPON style posts on LD. Historically this is because there are often a very limited number of codes and so the offer ends almost immediately when shared on LD. We generally can't update the post quick enough to show it has expired and it can lead to disappointed members.

The process can also be confusing for lots of members who aren't familiar with it - you need to sign up to another website, claim a code, then go back to Amazon and apply it.

Unfortunately, such offers also don't translate well to our Black Friday app where deal descriptions aren't readily available - so people end up on Amazon or JumpSend really confused. That's a limitation of our app that hopefully we can improve.

More recently we've launched Flash Deals which has very similar functionality to VIPON and JumpSend - allowing retailers to share unique codes for products offering big discounts. We obviously want to encourage Amazon sellers to use Flash Deals instead. On Flash Deals we can ensure certain rules - such as a minimum discount and only allowing Amazon Prime products. This hopefully improves the quality and reliability of deals shared.

Whilst we're always open to reviewing our guidelines, during the initial launch phase of Flash Deals we are being quite strict with JumpSend and VIPON posts. We want to get lots of Amazon sellers using Flash Deals directly to share discounts with LD members and part of that is not allowing them to skip around the rules by using these third party websites.

I appreciate it isn’t a 100% ideal scenario - but hopefully it’s short lived as we grow Flash Deals into the place to go for heavily discounted Amazon stuff 👍

Hi this is a shame, I have posted this deal to another site which had really good feedback.

After reading your guidlines with no mention of this I was disappointed because I cant help but think you guys would have taken advantage of this deal and left the latest deals community with no deal.

Everybody gets disappointed with not enough codes or limited stock. If you take for example your 'amzpromoter' deals this is just basically the same is it not?

My grandma doesn't know how to text from her mobile phone so people can get confused but that shouldn't hold back the people who do know how to text if you know what I mean..😂

Thank you for such a detailed response. I'm definitely not technically minded enough to do all that! I appreciate your help though
