Just for Fun: Can You Identify the Song/ Artist?
Other
We haven’t had a musical chat for a while so thought some might enjoy this.
Hopefully the last three images will help people using their phones?
The first one is by James Taylor called Fire and Rain. The second one is A horse with no name by America. I will leave the rest and hopefully someone will carry on in order….
As I have a music encyclopaedia sitting next to me I'll just do one Kansas City - Wilbert Harrison 1959
lilyflower yes, you definitely have an unfair advantage in these music quizzes!
Some confusion about this (Perhaps why it went stale - over a day ago at the "Kansas City" line which didn't take in the next part about Sang in the Sunshine) - which I believe related to Gale Garnett who wrote and sang "We'll sing in the sunshine". I can't think of a connection.
I'll try to get this topic going again: I think the next one is "Willie Nelson" Who sang "On the road again" and "Georgia on My Mind"
I don’t think there is meant to be a connection - I’m impressed that you found one David! They are just lines from songs used to create a poem. I thought the songs may be too old for many members to remember and that’s why there wasn’t much engagement.
Willie Nelson recorded both To all the Girls I’ve loved and Always on My Mind.
The one who fell into a burning ring of fire and walked the line was definitely Johnny Cash. SURELY even the young'ns know that... or should,
GSM I agree, it’s tricky if you are looking at it in your phone! Someone suggested elsewhere that you could screen shot it and enlarge the image? I will try and edit a bigger view
