We actually saw him perform live a few years before his crimes were known about, it had been a great evening very much soured by the revelations. 😔

tumblespots I read your comment a couple of times before twigging lol. I hadn't got a clue who sang it as so many Aussies have done so, just that it was written by Banjo Paterson. I went to school in Oz so learned Oz history rather than the Tudors lol.

Lynibis Wow, what an interesting life you have had. Did you get lots of 'nasties' in your house or garden? Incidentally, one of the gardeners we are watching on YouTube is Australian.

tumblespots we were what you call £10 Poms lol. And yes, we lived in a suburb of Melbourne. As a teen I went to Deer Park high school. Yes we had plenty of snakes around as our back yard went as far as the horizon, not the actual yard of course. We had an outside dunny and that was always full of spiders!

Lynibis I have looked up £10 poms (very interesting) I had not heard the term before. Do I assume that I need to read your posts with an accent now? I think I could cope with the snakes, by avoiding them (I hope), but the deadly eight legs would give me a heart attack just by being there!

tumblespots as I dropped off to sleep last night my mind wandered back to those days and I realised that I lived in Deer Park and went to school in Sunshine West high school.

JohnOssowski many artists have done a cover of Waltzing Matilda including Rod Stewart and Frank Ifield was by no means the first. Who can forget Frank's rendition of I Remember You and his yodelling! Apparently he is still living and now 83.

Lynibis I think we always look back at the old days, reminiscing is good for us (usually)!

Only the Names Have Been Changed

Album by Kelly Jones

I am a big fan of Stereophonics but not so much of this album, but your chat reminded of the album where the songs are female names Image
