Just a Little Money Saving Tip

Money Saving

If you often make impulse buys for things you don't really need; put a little note in your wallet that says: "Can I afford it?, Do I really need it?, Do I really, REALLY want it?"

It might stop you from making some unnecessary impulse buys (at least that's the idea) 😉

That's a brilliant idea I mean what is a deal if you don't really need it anyhow? I'm over buying stuff I don't need. I will go for great deals but not on a whim, not any more.

Sounds like the 3 questions I ask myself every time I want to buy something - do I need it? is it worth it? do I already have something like it?

I used to have a rule where I never bought anything made in China, but I had to relax that rule as I was not able to buy anything for a long time 😂

I keep asking myself this question lately. the answer is usually always no I don’t need it. Needing and wanting are two different things

I always ask myself these questions whenever I buy something. Even if I have a gift voucher to spend, I will make sure it is something I really need, will get use out of and that I am getting the most for my money.

I've never really been an impulse buyer.

Also, take your phone out and Google it to find how much it costs elsewhere. If it's not the cheapest where you are, don't get it.

It's a great idea but why leave the note in your wallet when the only time you'll look in it is when you get to a checkout. Sorry for being a bore about this

I must make my Mrs do this, she's a spendaholic. Mind you, bless her I don't care what she spends, she really deserves it. Having had my two kids and having to put up with them while I'm away... she needs a medal.

Thats such a great idea and often find myself impulse buying so will be using this and this will actually save more money than buying that cheap thing for the sake of it!!

Even though doing the latter is often more convenient, I also recommend paying with cash as opposed to using your card, because by using your card whilst out shopping you can easily overspend without realising it. I have done that many times.
