We are saving money for moving house. We will need it for the solicitors and estate agents fees, we have already paid off 10% on our mortgage but would like to pay more off if possible, have extra money to add to the deposit to reduce the next mortgage amount, have money in case we need to decorate the new place and money so we can paint this house to freshen it up before selling.
We have always been good at saving money and cutting back when we need to, not that we have many luxuries in this house.
My dad used to say you neee3d to rob a bank to buy a property in London! We live outside of Edinburgh, but still have an Edinburgh post code, so our house cost us about 30 grand more than it would have elsewhere! We are planning to move North, so we will get more for our money house wise. I wouldn't want to try and buy a house in London, even a small one bedroom costs a fortune!
G0501 I would rather have my own house too, I wouldn't want to buy and then rent it out, it's more hassle than it's worth in my opinion.
As soon as my husband gets a new job then we will move. So it just depends on jobs coming up and him getting it, could be in a month, could be in a year, just have to wait and see.
A motorhome but cant buy at the moment as the prices have increased massively with staycations
Saving for Christmas, I love making it special for my babies (8 & 12 )
Bit tricker this year with job losses but it will still be special
I am saving towards a camera and a few other tech gadgets, I also put money aside for an emergency fund.
I always save money for a ”rainy day” as they say... in case my dogs ever need an operation, in case something breaks in the house or my car needs fixed.. but I don’t really save for specific items because I always have some form of savings there when I need them
