KitKat Alternative
In the News
Apparently Lidl’s Choc Attack is even better than the original KitKat.
Has anyone tried Lidl’s version? Is it really better?
I don't have a Lidl near me so I've never tried one of those. I love KitKats though, expecially the dark chocolate ones.
There is also a Norwegian version, Kvikk Lunsj, that dates back to 1937. It played a part in Nestle eventually loosing a legal battle in trying to trademark the KitKat shape. Allowing other manufactures to make similar bars. The Guardian did a taste test between Kvikk Lunsj and Kitkat a few years ago. They also thought the Norwegian version was better - https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/shortcuts/2017/may/19/kitkat-v-kvikk-lunsj-which-four-fingered-chocolate-bar-tastes-best
ACR now I’d really like to try the KL version after reading that article! Sounds delicious.
HappyTravels there are places in the UK that sell it, such as the Scandinavian Kitchen - https://www.scandikitchen.co.uk/product/freia-kvikklunsj-47g-2/
Who are the lucky people who get to do all these taste tests, it sounds like a great job!
I’ve never tried it, but there are a lot of dupes in Lidl and Aldi that are just as good, but at a cheaper price. Mainstream chocolate is just full of junk anyway
