A few years ago we had an away day an as one of the cringe worthy team exercises we had to tell people something their didn't know about us. I turns out we had 2 Olympic medalist amongst us, they were very modest as it was a bronze in the 80s.
No, but I know of someone in a Big Golf tournament in Ireland who is doing very well at the moment, keeping my fingers crossed for her.
I went to school with two Olympic athletics champions. They‘re also very modest about it.
Not Olympic but my cousin has Commonwealth and GB medals of all colours for Rowing, another has a England Schoolboys cap for Rugby. I have Highland Dancing medals 
It's amazing what you find out about people. I have an uncle who has a rugby cap for playing for Wales and it's one of his most treasured items 
I haven't got any medals for anything so I am impressed on people who are good enough to represent their country.
