I Know You Shouldnt but if You could....
Ask a Question
If you could change one trait in other people what would it be?
Ironically I would like to make people more tolerant do we could hopefully move closer to a society where all differences are recognised and embraced.
Its nice to be a dreamer.........
If I could change one trait in people I would change road rage. I have been in a car with a person with road rage and I honestly have never been more afraid for my life. Tailing cars. Screaming out the window at women with children in the back seat of their car and calling them a b###h. Driving maniacally down a dark, twisty, narrow road on a stormy sleety night. It's not okay and it needs to stop
I hope you gave that person a piece of your mind and told him you would never get in a car with him again! A person like that doesn't just switch that behaviour on and off when he gets in and out of a car, he needs to go on an anger management course.
Lynibis Yes I did give them a piece of my mind. I agree with you, people like that do need anger management
Especially parents who shout don't you f#*@ing swear at me
If you teach them the words don't be surprised when they use them
Imnotcheap I say again, as I have many times on here, watch 'children see, children do' on YouTube.
I hate that a lot of people get offended by the slightest thing when they just need to grow a pair.
I often have to ask my daughter what people are offended about. She sometimes has to go away and figure it out
The first point to make is that we can't change other people, we can only change our own behaviour. So this question is the most theoretical thing but okay, just for fun. If I could change one trait in other people, I would delete selfishness and replace this with giving. If we took care of others' needs and let others take care of us, it would be a nicer world to live in, I think. And Moonstone22 road rage would go away because road rage is inherently selfish. You're so right that road rage needs to stop. So sorry to hear what you've been through with road rage. If I got rid of people's selfish trait, then the snowflake behaviour that TheChimp dislikes would also stop; getting offended at the slightest thing is just another form of selfishness.
Some great ideas on this thread. Anyone else want to chime in?
kfe202 Report it. People with road rage think they are above the law and like the control of being behind a car and intimidating people. If they get punishment they will see there are repercussions for the way they act
Getting too close and invading personal space. Hated this before Covid now my paranoia is on overdrive these days. People are still getting too close, especially in supermarkets...grrr
Glad it's not just me although I may take it too far not liking hairdresser for that reason although it might have been one too many bad haircuts
I gave up on expecting people to change a long time ago. Instead, I just manage my expectations to avoid disappointment
Take away anger I'm pretty easygoing can't understand why people get angry so easy overy silly things
