Are Laptops or Tablet Computers Better To Buy?
What do you get better value from?
Do Laptops or Tablet Computers last longer ?
Are Laptops or Tablets Computers faster?
It depends as what you plan to use them for. If it is just for browsing websites, checking email, using social media then a tablet would do.
If you play alot of games or type a lot of word documents etc then a laptop is better.
As to which is better value, again purely depends on what you want it for. Which lasts longer will depend on how often it is used and which is faster will depend on the type you get.
Completely depends on what you want them for. For any serious work, then laptops. For portability, tablets. Both have their uses. I very rarely use my laptop, but even some word processing is painful on a tablet in comparison to a laptop.
Suniverse you can, not as MrsCraig said, it's still a tablet. Tablet and phone interfaces tend to hide features away and there's no mouse - it's harder to be productive on them.
MrsCraig MICROSOFT Surface is like a Tablet and a Laptop they are very expensive hopefully there will be great deals on Boxing day.
In sheer performance terms laptops are generally faster. Something like a current gen Ryzen mobile processor delivers superb CPU and GPU performance. I would also say laptops do last longer as they fold to protect the screen but that is debatable and windows is not a stable operating system.
If its for productivity then laptop really.
You can get chromebooks which are a sort of half-way house offering some of the benefits of tablets especially if you get a chromebook with a touch screen.
List what you want of the device and then see what fits best.
This is a really good question. I am considering buying a new laptop at the moment so I shall watch the responses with interest. A friend recommended an Apple thing which you could add a keyboard to but I don't think I could type on an 'upright' keyboard so am veering towards another ordinary laptop. Prices seem to have increased dramatically since my last one though (doubled in 4 years!) for a similar model/spec.
Deoends on the make
Ive had an ipad recently and broke within a couple of months laptop second hand and wasnt used for ages and still works.
since I got my ipad, i dont need my laptop. The usability via apps on the iPad is sufficient and I can access what I need quickly. However, for work and anything requiring lengthy writing or spreadsheet work, I use my computer
It depends what you need it for. I prefer a tablet for me but my daughter needs a laptop for her homework.
