Latest Deals Hits 300,000 Members - Future Plans?

Latest Deals now has over 300,000 members.

This is a great milestone to reach. Our little deal hunting community is fast growing into the UK's favourite.

12 months ago, I shared The Grand Plan:

• Step 1: Bring like-minded deal hunters together
• Step 2: Create tools to help deal hunters

Reaching 300,000 is a big step in the right direction. The more deal hunters we can bring together, the bigger and better deals can be found.

For example, I might share an Amazon deal. Then a fellow member may comment with how to get it even cheaper. And a third member may stack another discount on top.

By helping each other, we can save more money.

Behind-The-Scenes

Deepak, Kelsey and I created LatestDeals.co.uk in September 2016. We remain focused on growing the community without advertising.

If someone joins, it's because they've heard about it. Whether that's in the press, through a friend, or from Google putting us at the top.

Members now share a whopping 12,000 deals, vouchers, freebies and competitions every month. So thank you - none of this would be possible without you.

We remain the only deal hunting community to give back, with massive Amazon rewards. And we've just made it bigger.

What are the Near-Term Plans?

Keep growing! The community is growing faster and faster. We're looking forward to reaching 500,000, then 1,000,000 and beyond.

The bigger we grow, the more haggling power we have to negotiate better deals.

Kelsey is focusing on some community engagement features such as creating a more chat-like feeling in the comments and the ability to share GIFS.

What I love most about LatestDeals.co.uk is that despite growing from 10 members two years ago to 300,000 today, it still has that small community feeling. It's something that makes us very different.

By popular request, we're also making a way you can save deals. This will make it easier to come back to posts you want to take a second look at.

What are the Long-Term Plans?

Step 2 of The Grand Plan is to create tools which help deal hunters. Here are some ideas we are researching:

• Price Comparison - Search for any product and find the cheapest listed price.
• Price History Graphs - See price history graphs on deals so you can see whether the deal really is good or not.
