Latest Deals , When Are You Going to Remove "Points for Liking " ?

Latest Deals

Long promised but never delivered !

Why should this happen ? Because it totally distorts the quality of deals posted on here 🙄.

Reality ! the majority of "likes " posted by members are purely to accumulate points . Therefore they are given to "deals" on the "popular " or "new " pages - the most visible to the "points for likes " members when garnering their daily points .

Yes , we should "like" deals that we consider real deals , preferably add a comment to explain why 🤨 . but do we need to be rewarded for doing so ?

Remove "at last " the points for liking then maybe only good deals would be liked and indeed commented upon . This would surely then give a more accurate members view on what are good deals ? thus making the site more relevant and accurate .

I do see it from the founders popularist viewpoint but cannot possibly see how points for liking in any way does anything but ruin the site as a "Deals site "

Cor Blimey, Golfforall, are you still on this mission? Did you have a double bogey on the 18th to miss par for the course today?

Not a lot we can do about this situation at the moment. There's some right stinking deals that get 50+ likes just because they've been put on the popular page. And how they get there is an absolute mystery to everyone except the LD Team.

Don't let it get you down so much 😉

No double bogey today , I'm cool 🙂. Yes I will keep having my fortnightly rant as "points for liking" ruins this site and totally skews any legitimacy the site may aspire to as a "Deals" site .

Unlike the majority of members who view the site as an "Amazon voucher " earning site I care for it and try to use it honestly . As I'm sure you know .

Tom and Kelsey are well aware of my concerns and have agreed with my views in the past . I appreciate that while the site is making money (I presume ?) they are unwilling to make a small change that in my view would make this a far more profitable and relevant site .

As an active member it is encumbant upon me to suggest how the site can be improved . I know my views are not popular with those who view Latest Deals as a voucher earning site - but do I care ?

Your not alone in this if you notice it’s same members there which makes you think duplicate accounts. As TheChimp said don’t let it get to you it’s LD losing by paying out it’s not only points getting abused so is the review section. I not even heard of half the websites.

It doesn't get to me , I don't lose sleep over it ! Yes it annoys me , not for myself but for our less savvy members (who probably don't read "Chat " anyway !

And to be fair if the founders are making money , why would they change it ? It's their ball after all .
