Leaflets through Letterbox

Ask a Question

I used to not mind the occasional leaflets posted through our letterbox, but nowadays with covid I’d prefer not to receive them.

Does anyone feel them same?

Do not want them at all even before. Junk Mail. Menus ! The lot. Have a sticker on my letter box and also have filled out a form to advise the post office that I do not want it either. Image

lynneh yes, we've got the sticker on the door too but they still persist. I realise it must be hard for local businesses but it's just a nuisance and a waste of their time and money popping them through our door.

HappyTravels totally! The other day this fella put a menu thru my door and I just so happened to be cleaning at my hall and I told him no thank you and handed it back over. I’ve also had a fella in the past and he was talking about gas and electricity. I pointed to my door and said no cold callers altho I appreciate he had a job to do but no thanks. He was decent enough. But I wouldn’t dare approach someone’s door who stated no in first place.

It always has annoyed me. Just today I’ve had 8 separate people/companies shoving junk mail through my door including menus, catalogues and those plastic charity collection bags. I know they have a job to do and are trying to get trade, but when none of it is going to get used it just seems so wasteful.

I have never found any of them to be of use. The people who post them don’t care as they are just making money to do it. No way to stop it I'm afraid

I hate it, such a waste of paper / plastic, I put everything straight in the bin and don’t even look at it. especially menus that they’ve already delivered 5 times for Indians (I don’t like Indian food so I will never order front there) just a waste of money for them!

There’s no point in crappy advertising it’s in our face all the time, why wast paper now. If you still like getting them just don’t touch them for a few days and you will be fine regarding Covid

I used to save all leaflets up the postie delivered then I would put them in the post boxes for them to recycle.

You are so right. Covid has changed everything hasn't it. None of us really want to be having to touch all these extra bits of paper/card that fly through the letterbox with useless information that we don't want anyway.
