Are Led Strips Good
Other
So been seeing a lot of led strip adverts but are they actually good and do they actually last
Depends what you want them for really. I have a few that i bought from china (AliExpress and amazon) for less than £2 each, have them plugged into smart plugs so can turn them on and off via Alexa.
I bought some for behind the TV but when I plugged USB stick in it said overload my friend said it's not worth blowing the TV up for 5.99
run them from a spare usb phone charger plug, they will work fine with those, i have a couple plugged in to old samsung plugs
You do get what you pay for usually. I've bought many of them over the years and the build quality of LEDs varies. You'll find that with the cheaper ones, some of the LEDs fail within a few weeks or maybe a few months. I advise you only buy the type listed as 'rainbow LEDs'. There are two main types of LED chip - those that pass the power through when they fail and those that don't. The rainbow LEDs are of the first type. That means when one fails, the rest inline after it do not also go out.
It depends what you want them for, I have seen people put them on the interiors of their cars. The ones on Amazon seem the most popular.
we have some in the backs of walk in cupboards...and also above some doors cos in our rented place you have to walk through the rooms to get to the switches...crazy I know!
this is ours from Amazon ... 12 months and still good ...charge via USB https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07BHNQ9M5/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
