Are there less points for posting competitions now?

Hello, yes, the number of points has changed. It was announced here.

At first, there were no points at all. People contributed voluntarily to help each other.

We introduced points in early March 2017 as a way to give back. The response was fantastic. A bit too fantastic. To keep Latest Deals running for the long-term we have to find an affordable balance. Unfortunately our wallets wouldn't have lasted a month at the previous rate - 501,000 points in just 3 weeks - we're not a big company unlike the others, just three guys who quit our jobs to try and help people save some money.

You now get a different amount of points for different things. Deals, voucher codes, freebies and competitions. You also get points for commenting, voting, marking old deals as expired, and more. There's also a quality aspect to it: if you write a unique deal or comment rather than copy and paste, you get more points.
