In a Facebook post, Julia Thompson described how she often sees patients brought into the accident and emergency department, with no way of knowing who they are.

This is despite patients having their mobile phones with them. Yet because the phones are locked, doctors have no way of finding out who the next of kin is … or if they have any existing medical conditions.

I honestly thought this was a well known fact and I'm a little shocked that it isn't. It goes without saying that you hope it's never needed but I wrongly assumed it was a standard thing to do when changing or buying a phone,

tumblespots Could you possibly incorporate an ICE number on a chosen picture and use it as your wallpaper/screen?

tumblespots just put ICE next to a contact on your phone, emergency services can unlock phones and as soon as they see ICE they know its your chosen contact
