Can You Live Where Your Parents Are from or Where You Where Born?

I came to UK when I was nearly 2 & half years old, but was born in the Seychelles.
I don't think I will ever live there....
It is strange to afew people I know because even though I am in uk I was brought up in my culture & because Seychelles is a gorgeous island & am from there... They don't understand why I can't live there.
To me, I see it as a place for a honeymoon or getting married.
Half my family & my late dad are from Kenya, because it is full of different cities.
Am a city girl! Kenya would be better for me...
Do you find that strange that I look at this issue, this way?, My friends think am abit weird. 
Guess my friends are too excited to realise, it's normal? 
Funny enough I was born in Spain, came to uk in my 20s met my oh and I wouldn't go back where I lived as I don't like it, it brings me bad memories. It could be trauma
Moved to the Uk from germany around 13 years ago...met my other half while he was serving,worked for his boss..rest is history 
love Germany,wouldn't move back though,as kids are settled over here&I love the Uk too I'm glad we have all the technology we do,whatsup,zoom,Skype,its really easy to stay in touch with people x
