With lockdown 2.0 coming Thursday and it made me wonder rather than go back to almost total lockdown shouldn't it have never ended ?The easing of lockdown and the tier system was abandoned almost as quickly as it begun .Even my MP who is Conservative posted we had just been moved into tier 2 on facebook when Boris was announcing lockdown 2.0 .Whats your views?
The people who wonted to extend lockdown were most likely the people getting everything dished out to them where workers were worried if had a job to go back to would they find a new job. Be able to keep roof over kids heads feed them.
Plenty of people who weren't "getting everything dished out to them" would have preferred lockdown to be extended, myself included. I believe that it would have been for the best to prevent more deaths and protect more people. If we'd had a longer lockdown first time around, and it had been properly enforced, things wouldn't be as they are now.
I've always thought that we came out of the first lockdown too soon. It shouldn't have ended when it did, we shouldn't have had the eat out to help out scheme and reopened the pubs and all that, it all happened too soon so its no wonder we're in this situation now.
