How Long Have You Been Comping?
Competitions
I have only been a regular comper (hence my name) since January of this year, entering around 100 a day. But as for comping as a whole, I have been doing it on and off for around 10 years now, but was entering only around 5 a day. I didn't initially intend on comping to become a habit and to last anywhere near this long, but after winning my first prize back in Feb, this encouraged me to keep on going and to enter more and more. And now, I can't imagine my life without comping. It is so addictive.
I have been comping for just over 2 years. I started as I was inbetween jobs and it helped to keep me occupied after I had done the housework etc. I won my first comp after a month and I still remember how excited I was!
Winning any comp is an exciting experience. But the first one is special and encourages you to keep on going and to never give up.
It certainly did! I still get excited every time I win a prize, whether it is a big or a small prize.
MrsCraig Not as many people go for the smaller prizes, so you have a better chance at winning. But it is about quality not quantity.
RegularComper90 I just go for the ones that I would like to win. Suppose it is different for everyone as to what they think is worth entering.
A whole month(roughly!). Filling time whilst selling our house and heading back to live in the sun. I particularly like the competitions where some element of skill is required. Only won one competition in my life, as far as I can remember, which was flights to Bergerac, which is a lovely town. I agree it’s totally addictive.
The comps that require skill are great because they don't get as many entrants.
And welcome to the world of comping.
Just like you I do a l00 a day. And yes it's very addictive. I enjoy doing them. And like ones that gets you thinking . I won few prize to do with knitting , sewing, garden, books, and my first win on latest deals was a cross stitch clock owl. Which I will enjoy doing.. I all so do other comp in books,
