Looking after You - What's Your Me Time?

Ask a Question

When it’s me time......How do you look after yourself. I like to have a hot bath, wine and relax with candles and the occasional bubbles. I’ve realised over the past few years it’s important to have timeout from life’s stresses. I’d love to go the gym but I don’t have the free time just yet.

I so love my me time and that can be anything from chilling out, relaxing bath to a sneaky couple of hours afternoon snooze 🙂

The thought of a snooze is heaven. I’ve a 2 year old! Snoozing for me is rare

Just watching tv without any one disturbing me alone with my hot chocolate and some treats

It's extremely rare I can have an afternoon snooze unless I've had to get up early and not slept properly or I'm ill. At what age can you have 40 winks? My mother seems to drift in and out of consciousness frequently (I have that effect) but its not something I can do.

I don't really have me time. I spend the day looking after my son and cleaning the house. By the time he is in bed I'm so tired I go to bed too. My me time is probably the quick 10 minute shower I take when he is in his playpen.

Its so important to do this, I find comfort in food, which isn't always a good thing but just relaxing with a cup of tea in bed with a nice treat, watching tv

I have a bath, light some candles & listen to a audiobook, or just sit in bed with a hot drink & watch trashy tv.

I’ll be doing the bed and trashy tv when my baby boy moves out of my room. I’ve always loved to sit in bed and watch tv but I only get to do it when my partner is home and it’s my rest day.

Ooh a must is to have a warm house, candles lit and a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. I’m then ready to watch anything on tv but not sport.

I find it hard to relax and find time for me time. But relaxing with the other half for a couple of hours watching tv once the baby is in bed is blissful

This is a great question seeing as my me-time stopped happening with the result of my depression getting higher. Spent the last few weeks trying to rectify that: not just hot baths but reading in the bath because it forces me to stay and relax for longer, baking has helped, I've been burning candles and wax melts more and I've been trying to watch some TV. Love or hate I'm a Celeb it had me sit down for 6-90 minutes per day and not think of other stuff

i feel my need time isn’t really happening at the moment and Im feeling quite uptight. I feel I don’t have a choice but to keep going... when it comes to half 8 at night and my 2 year old has finally gone to sleep I usually have my bath n candles but I can’t switch off my mind this week. lifes pressures are getting to me. I rarely watch tv so I think maybe the getting into something on Netflix is what I need to switch Off!!
