Who Do You Love or Loathe on TV?
Other
Do you get fed up seeing the same old faces over and over, or can't get enough of a certain person.
No trolling or spiteful comments are needed, it is just your opinion and why. I myself am getting cheesed off with Philip Schofield, Alison Hammond and Keeley Hawes.
PS seems to be taking on a few of Piers Morgan's negative traits, AH is so totally over the top it makes me squirm and despite being a wonderful actress does KH have to be in every drama made!?

I love all the grisly crime dramas, particularly the foreign language ones. Having to read subtitles keeps my husband awake so we donβt have to keep rewinding the prog to find out where he fell asleep.

Charity and over 50s insurance adverts drive me insane.
I mostly record programmes now so that I can fast forward through them.

It would seem I wrote something different to what people are reading lol. I was asking WHO you love or loathe, not WHAT.
But hey, go for it guys whatever you love or loathe

I agree with you on Philip Schofield. He always seems pleased with himself to me. Plus I think what he did to his wife was unjustly unfair. I'm not a fan of Gino d acampo. I think hes full of himself . I noticed Gemma Collins was on Piers show recently & have to wonder why? I don't get the fascination with her at all.

Totally agree with all you mentioned. Trouble is people start out all lovely and nice but then the more exposure they get, the more big headed they become and ultimately people don't want to see them on screen any more.
They say with GC it is all a made up image but why would you want to foster an image that makes you so hated?

Lynibis I don't buy the made up character act by 'The GC'. I do think it's a good excuse to change how people react to your bad behaviour tho.

I would also add Philip Schofield to my dislike list. Along with some of the usual suspects Piers Morgan, Jeremy Clarkson, Sandi Toksvig, Damian Lewis and Zoe Ball. Most of them are easy to avoid, but Damian Lewis can pop up in a film or show I'm otherwise enjoying.

I must admit DL is a strange character to quantify, I don't have feelings either way but sometimes life does imitate art and he was too good as Henry VIII lol. Piers Morgan I did not list this time as I have done a topic about him a very long time ago. Although I agree with a lot of his views I cannot stand his arrogance, rudeness and the fact that he tries to disguise a lot of his leanings under a PC facade, including misogyny.

Im glad i dont watch TV anymore but i do catch up with the news online which usually has articles that are on tv... I cant stand all the love island/celebs go dating rubbish. They all send the wrong message out to younger people i think.
I like watching true crimes etc on youtube. I used to watch the soaps (years ago) but they started getting stupid storylines and everyone was sleeping with everyone else. Netflix is our go to.

So totally agree with you. I am older so can't help being old fashioned and am not ashamed to admit that I find this promiscuous society very hard to deal with. Young people yearn more than ever for romance and finding Mr/Mrs Right but they do not act in a romantic or loving way. When they see their 'idols' on reality shows acting so badly they think it is the way to go and imitate their habits. Shows like Naked Attraction and Love Island? where they are so excited to see who will be the first to 'do it' make me feel physically sick.
No one is shown in dramas/soaps to be in solid faithful relationships, happy and enjoying family life. No wonder kids today have such a warped view of the world.

Cant stand Alan Titchmarsh, even from when I was young! Dont ask me why, there is just something that annoys me, maybe his arrogance, I dont know!

I quite like him myself but as I have mentioned before, the more fame you achieve the harder it is to remain grounded. When people are trying to please you all the time and ask for your time, autograph, selfie, attention etc it must be easy to assume you are more important and worthy than other folk and hence the bad behaviour creeps in. It takes a very strong person to remain as they were before fame, assuming they were nice in the first place.
One of the most arrogant people I have ever seen is Cliff Richard.

I don't like The GC. Her persona just rubs me up the wrong way. I'm not a fan of Nigella Lawson either, I always thought she was a bit too arrogant and it annoys me that she tries to make her cooking sound seductive.

Yes, NL certainly plays to a male audience, you only have to watch the male gogglebox watchers when they watch a clip of her cooking, they are positively drooling, and not at the food.

Anyone on a reality show really, I can't tell those slick, botoxed, lip pumped women apart and they don't promote being happy with yourself in any way.

Greg Wallace - I'm sure he's a nice enough person, but stop shouting man!

They say you can't judge a book by it's cover but I think you often can. It is all to do with gut instinct and as animals we are programmed to be aware of danger from other animals, all species. There is something about GW that doesn't ring true and it is his eyes that make me feel uneasy as I think he could be quite unpleasant if crossed.
