Luminous Plants to Light up the Place

Other

Scientists are developing nano bionic plants which they propose might replace electrical lighting. Its eco and fun but you'd need a shed load to light things up the way we're used to.What do we all think?

The picture is Milton's Paradise Lost illumined by 3 week old Watercress plants Image

wow that looks awesome, you couldnt light up a large area very well at all and probably wouldnt be a substitute for things like street lights but thats one great novelty.

I wonder if they got the idea from fireflies and the like M ?

Imagine how beautiful it would look if all your houseplants were illuminated, you wouldnt need christmas lights

I googled this and found an interesting article. One hope is to use light-emitting trees as street lights. What a great idea.

A waist of time me ever getting one, all plants die as soon as I bring them in my house. I do like the idea, could do with one that produces heat or a Wi-Fi boosting plant.
