Lunch
Ask a Question
What do we all eat for lunch?
If we have children what do we give them for lunch?
If we're having a cooked meal for tea we usually have something like a sandwhich for dinner. Does anyone else do the same?
I have a faddy eater who loves lettuce sandwiches I find this weird because lettuce is the bland bit of a sandwich, its only there so you can fake it that it's healthy. My kids weird!
I’m a creature of habit (as well as a tight wad with money ) so lunch for me usually is the same thing. I work from home twice a week and on those days usually have eggs or beans on toast & the three days I’m in the office I always take in soup because it’s reasonably healthy & warm
I am trying very hard to get back into the swing of sensible eating and I didn't participate in the dry January so have big guilt. Today it was a jacket potato with a Jackfruit topping which was satisfying and not too heavy. I agree that it's usually light at lunch so that dinner is a cooked meal.
Hi angemski what is a jackfruit. I've never heard of it. What do you do with it. Thank you
nicolajaynehend It's a dense fleshed fruit that can be shredded and used like pulled pork. I buy the pouches from Tesco that are on special at the moment for £1. I think this is the best to try as your first sampling as not everyone likes it. Tesco have it in three flavours - its a good alternative to meat and it's Vegan
Depends on my mood, I like my homemade humus sandwich. Unless I am treating myself then something like Pret.
Sandwich normally, but nothing boring - I like a fair few things on it. Salad or soup sometimes too, or leftovers from night before. Almost always, these are all home made.
I usually just have a sandwich or a pasta salad from ASDA, I often skip lunch tho if I'm extremely busy & have alot to do.
I’m quite boring I either have salt and vinegar crisps or if I take a sandwich then it is plain tuna but has to be wholemeal granary bread!
Usually we have a sandwich or something simple for dinner then for tea we have a cooked meal. Two big cooked meals a day is too much
