Why would someone do this ? I think that most people would say that trees improve our environment.
Don't get me wrong, I understand trees need to be removed when trees are dangerous, or are too close to drains and foundations.But this is just wanton vandalism
That's a crime now? People and companies cut down trees for a variety of reasons.
If you're against it, make sure you don't use or buy products made of trees.
I don't think you read the article, this is about someone who went around just cutting down trees for the fun of it. Leaving them across roads and disrupting traffic. I wouldn't be happy if someone cut down a tree in my garden without permission.
beccatavender, I wonder what his motivation was? It is nesting season too which his actions will no doubt have disrupted.
I can't think of any reason someone would want to this, it's even worst if any birds were nesting
