Man Threw off Eurostar because We Wore the Wrong Mask

In the News

Talk about using a sledgehammer to crack a nut

The poor man had done nothing wrong, except wearing the wrong type of mask

And even when a fellow passenger gave him the right one , three french officers surrounded him and chucked him off the train

The french really have a problem with brits

Ah, France and Australia. The two Western countries kicking off dictatorship with a pretense that it's about health and safety.

Just like how French cops beat up a woman for not showing her COVID Pass.

If it was a health matter, they wouldn't revive segregation and divide, but they have.

It would be interesting to see a picture of the "wrong type" of mask.

They say it was a black mask B, i think its like the one i have , i cannot see what is wrong with it, and the fact someone gave him a blue one that are also certified there was no reason to throw him off the train, witnesses say he was not being nasty about it but the opposite

telmel I also use one of the black ones.

Sounds to me like one of the Eurostar staff took a dislike to him and a simply resolved incident get out of hand.

Is it bad that I imagined he had been physically thrown from the moving train? I thought the french police were taking breaking covid rules VERY seriously!

"The man involved said that he had been removed from the train after being accused of not “wearing the right type of mask.”

That was the same man who thought he could break the rules and repeatedly removed his mask despite it being a condition of carriage to wear one at all times. They don't use an emergency stop to remove a troublesome passenger because they "don't like him".

"This is probably nearer the truth: "During the journey, the passenger became aggressive and intimidating towards the on-board team, when they politely reminded him to wear a mask as is required under our conditions of carriage".

I suggest people read the article and then scroll down to see the comments of those who did. Rather than just reading the headlines.

Hardly , impeccable Grammar from a serial "non news poster" ? Obviously replied to as always by a fellow clique member- it is so obvious ( multi ?) . Don't you guys realise it is so obvious what you do every day (leeching points from genuine members ?) .

If you can live with what you do there is no more i can say 😒. I would not like to live in your world 😭. But it takes all sorts I suppose 🤕.

Keep fighting that fight. I just came on here to post a topic about something quite interesting - Blue Origin. It's of course owned by Bezos so you'd think the Amazon fans would be interested but not a word about it. Will the system let me post a topic? No, of course not. I have been silenced for having an opinion with no thought about how it might affect me as a human being. Welcome to the future people!

Why is not wearing a mask irresponsible? In what situation?

Seems like more to the story than not just wearing a mask.

Anybody who downloads that NHS app and uses it as a passport is supporting this level of control.
