Man Wins High Court Victory against Betfred

In the News

Well done that man winning his court victory against Betfred

They would not pay him the £1.7 million he won online and he had to take them to court

I absolutely despise these online betting companies especially when you hear how they try to cheat ordinary people who have hardly any chance of winning and cause families so much grief with gambling addiction

I see the CEO Denise Coates is worth 6.5 billion USD this year , so the payout means nothing to her

But thats how she has managed to accumulate so much wealth

I was reading this yesterday and good on him though its probably mentally damaged him. I actually hope he takes them to court and sues for damages and causes some more damage to there reputation.

Same here S, the government wont change the legislation because they get so much tax revenue from these gambling companies , but i bet the social and economic damage it does to individuals and families far outweighs the governments gains

The regulators should be going in hard on the company. Also everyone who used that game should be refunded and compensated as they were trying to claim the game had an error.

I read about this yesterday and I'm very pleased for him. There have been similar stories in the news over the years, people being denied their winnings like this, so hopefully this will encourage people in that situation to keep fighting to get what they are owed.

Brilliant and so glad the guy won . To many companies have really shown there true colours especially during the pandemic . Really put a smile on my face and the best bit like Wetherspoons is now on the list of hell will freeze over before I use them .
